Journal Overview

EPH–International Journal of Applied Science (ISSN: 2208-2182) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Southern Cross Academic Press. The journal publishes original and high-quality research across natural sciences, engineering, health sciences, social sciences, business management, and interdisciplinary areas of applied science.

The journal is committed to maintaining rigorous academic standards, transparent editorial procedures, responsible publication practices, and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Editorial Independence

EPH–International Journal of Applied Science maintains editorial independence in the evaluation and publication of scholarly work. Editorial decisions are based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and contribution of a manuscript to the journal's scope.

Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial interests, advertising, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, or other non-academic considerations.

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for maintaining the academic integrity and editorial standards of the journal.

Editorial Responsibility and Accountability

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for maintaining the academic quality, integrity, and transparency of the journal. Manuscripts are assessed in accordance with the journal's stated aims and scope and established editorial procedures.

The journal is committed to fair and consistent editorial decision-making, confidentiality, research integrity, and responsible publication practices.

Where concerns arise regarding submitted or published work, the journal may take appropriate action in accordance with its Publication Ethics, Plagiarism, and other applicable journal policies.

Editorial Board Composition and Diversity

The Editorial Board consists of researchers and academic professionals with expertise covering the journal's multidisciplinary areas of applied science. The current Board includes expertise in areas such as physics and mathematical sciences, chemical and materials sciences, biological and environmental sciences, and emerging computational and applied technologies.

The journal seeks to maintain appropriate disciplinary, institutional, and geographical diversity within its Editorial Board.

Board members are selected based on their academic expertise, research experience, scholarly contribution, and ability to support the journal's editorial activities.

Manuscript Editorial Screening

All manuscripts submitted to EPH–International Journal of Applied Science undergo an initial editorial screening before external peer review. The screening assesses whether the manuscript is appropriate for the journal's aims and scope, originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, ethical requirements, and submission standards.

Manuscripts that satisfy the preliminary requirements are considered for the journal's double-blind peer-review process, normally involving two expert reviewers.

The final editorial decision is made by the designated editor after considering the reviewers' assessments and the overall scholarly merit of the manuscript.

Academic Quality and Originality

The journal is committed to publishing original, high-quality, and previously unpublished research that contributes to knowledge in applied science and interdisciplinary fields.

Manuscripts should demonstrate appropriate methodology, sound analysis, clear presentation, and conclusions supported by the research.

The journal does not accept plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, redundant publication, or other forms of research misconduct.

Submitted manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism-detection tools, including iThenticate and Turnitin, as part of the editorial assessment.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, editors, and Editorial Board members must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could affect the impartiality of the editorial or review process.

Editors and reviewers should not participate in the evaluation of manuscripts where a personal, professional, institutional, financial, or academic relationship could compromise their objectivity.

Where necessary, the manuscript will be assigned to another suitably qualified editor or reviewer.

Authors are also required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest in accordance with the journal's publication and authorship requirements.

Publication Regularity and Editorial Transparency

EPH–International Journal of Applied Science is published quarterly, four times a year. The journal is committed to maintaining its stated publication schedule and to providing continuity and transparency in its editorial and publication activities.

The journal maintains publicly accessible information concerning its Editorial Board, aims and scope, peer-review process, publication ethics, plagiarism policy, open-access policy, copyright and licensing, article processing charges, archiving, and other relevant publishing policies.

The opinions, findings, interpretations, and conclusions expressed in published articles are those of the respective authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, or Southern Cross Academic Press.

Publication of an article does not constitute endorsement by the journal or publisher of the methods, findings, products, services, or claims presented by the authors.

The journal reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action, including correction, expression of concern, or retraction, where significant errors, ethical concerns, or violations of publication standards are identified.
